The prices here are excellent for the quality of food that you receive. The rice balls are incredibly filling for only about $4.50 a piece. Overall, definitely must visit for authentic and inexpensive Italian food.

My sister brought me here today! First time trying heard so much about this spot it's legendary I got the classic Sicilian pizza and got Salami and ham and ricotta cheese calzone and the Spinach and cheese calzone. The pizza was so so good the cheese and the sauce and the crust was crispy and delicious! Next I tried the spinach and cheese calzone the spinach was moist and seasoned well the bread was golden brown on the outside and moist in the middle cooked perfectly so scrumptious and delicious! Staff and customers Service is friendly and welcoming when being served.

Their Spinach and cheese calzone is the best I've ever had. It's a must when I go to Boston

Waited in line a good 15-20 min for two Sicilian slices. Thankfully it was worth it. Cheesy & delicious with good sauce. A great lunch for less than $20.

This pizza was so good! Definitely lives up to the hype. The only critique of the pizza is that I think the sauce needs a little more seasoning. Also, I am pretty sure they only have cheese pizza. Be aware, Galleria Umberto only makes so much pizza each day, so they may run out before their official closing time and close early. So make sure that you're there with plenty of time to spare. The whole time I was there, there was a long line to order. The restaurant is clean and buzzing with people. It's a great stop for lunch!

Little hole in the wall place (despite being in the middle of one of the main strips in the north end) open fire lunch until they run out of food. A good, almost great slice (could use a little more seasoning in the sauce) but is so unique, it is a must stop any time we are in Boston).

I saw a guy walk out of this place with a couple of boxes tied perfectly together by a fine piece of string. Something caught my eye as I passed by...I had to turn around and see what all the fuss was about, as there was a line out the door. I'm not from Boston, far from it actually, and it was my first time in town. Little did I know, I stumbled across perfection. Umberto's made my day...no, it made my week. Everything was lovely, from the food, to the vibe, to the people working hard behind the counter. I will absolutely come back to Galleria Umberto Rosticceria next time I'm in town. Two thumbs up.

Must try classic in north end! There is typically a wait but it is well worth it. I believe they only take cash also and everything is affordable. The arancini is extremely crispy and filled with meat sauce, peas, and melty mozzarella. The panzerotti is a crispy fried potato mixture stuffed with parsley and mozzarella - very tasty but also a bit more bland. The pizza here is also wonderfully crispy and thick but it would have been too filling in combination with these two. The interior has many tables for self seating and is quite lively.

Been wanting to come for so long now. Heard and read so many good things about their pizza. Came day after new years, so we got lucked out with no wait (compared to normally is a long line). This is cash only. Reasonably priced. Staff were friendly especially for first timers, they didn't rush you. Inside is very spacious (for both end) with good amount of table seatings. Small menu so we wanted to try everything. They only have cheese pizza. But sells quick so they're always making fresh batches throughout the day. We got cheese pizza, Arancini, pizzette and panzarotti. Everything was good but I wouldn't say it'll be worth waiting in a long line for. 3.5 stars would be more accurate.

WOW! Absolutely blown away by this pizza. Heard great things going in but I was truly so impressed. First of all, $2 slices are insane. And for a good sized slice! The pizza is Sicilian, so square and thick. The tomato sauce was exquisite. By far the best part. The pizza had so much flavor even though it was just cheese and sauce. They must season the sauce really well. They only offer the one flavor but that's all you need. I also got one of the panzerotti. This is a mozzarella stick surrounded by mashed potatoes and fried. Very good and reminded me of a McDonald's hash brown with the flavor of the crust a bit. It was around $2.5. Would DEFINITELY return and HIGHLY recommend.
